Dr. Han is an assistant professor at SUSTech and a guest researcher in the Japan Institute of Statistic at Chiba University. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geophysics from Peking University in 2006. Then in 2009, he received a Master’s degree from the China Earthquake Bureau of Geophysical Research Institute. In March of 2013, he received his Doctorate of Science from Chiba University. From April that same year to July 2017, he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Chiba University and the Institute of Statistical Mathematics. He joined Southern University of Science and Technology in August of 2017 and research interests lie in Earth electromagnetics, statistical seismology, and earthquake prediction and risk assessment. To date, he has published more than 40 articles in academic journals such as Surveys in Geophysics, Journal of Geophysical Research, GJI, and Journal of Asian Earth Sciences, and has been cited over 1000 times.
