The workshop has been successfully held for fifteen sessions since the 1980s, with the scale of the conference increasing and the number of topics and disciplines expanding. The depth and breadth of interdisciplinary exchanges have been continuously strengthened, which has actively promoted the development and progress of geo-electromagnetism. After years of joint efforts by colleagues in the geo-electromagnetism community, the China International Geo-Electromagnetism Workshop has become a high-end platform for domestic and foreign peers to exchange new technologies, showcase new achievements, communicate new experiences, and establish new cooperation.

 

After the first announcement was issued, CIGEW2023 received extensive attention from domestic and foreign colleagues in geo-electromagnetism. According to opinions solicited from multiple parties and combined with actual conditions, the second announcement of the sixteenth China International Geo-Electromagnetism Workshop is now released. IV.  Abstract submission

1. The abstracts of the papers accepted by the conference will be included in the "Proceedings of the 16th China International Geo-Electromagnetism Workshop" and distributed to conference attendees in the format of a USB drive. Please indicate if you do not wish your abstract to be included in the proceedings for confidentiality reasons.

2. Domestic papers are required to provide both Chinese and English versions (using the short abstract format, with each paper not exceeding 2 pages. Please refer to the conference website or the appendix of this announcement for specific abstract templates). Foreign authors may only provide an English version. Excellent foreign student papers may be eligible for a travel grant of up to CNY 5,000 per person.

3. When submitting your paper, please provide your name, affiliation, contact information, intended session, oral or poster presentation, student status, and whether you wish to be included in the proceedings.

4. To encourage students to submit innovative and high-quality papers, the workshop will offer awards for excellent student papers, separately for oral and poster presentations. The Geo-electromagnetism Committee of the Chinese Geophysical Society plans to honor the winning students at the conference.

The official program of this conference runs from August 18th to 20th.
